Many athletes feel that steroid supplementation is a form of cheating, however, they will use creatine, protein powders, prohormone supplements and ephedrine products without second guessing them. Creatine supplements are great for getting short term gains and water retention, which will make your muscles look bigger, without any significant strength gains. Creatine and protein supplements are probably the most glorified products on the market. I am not saying they are bad by any means. They are great for people "just getting back in to working out again" or for people under 22 years old. But for men (22+), prohormone supplements are the most effective legal products. They have been proven to raise a persons testosterone levels by upwards of 100%. There are a number of types of prohormone supplements, the most common being "Andro-" products. The "NorAndro-" (more specifically 19-nor) products, however, are much more effective and do not have the side effect percentage that andro supplements have. Most of these products come in pill form which is not the best way to take them. Research shows that the digestion process negates an average of 70% of the supplements active ingredients. The newest and most effective way to supplement norandro or ANY supplement is through the skin. This is called Transdermal delivery. This is a somewhat new technology to the prohormone market but it will soon be the standard. You may have heard of "NicoDerm CQ" this is a nicotine patch which uses a transdermal system to supplement people with nicotine and help them stop smoking. Tribulis (Tribestan) products were designed to stimulate the bodies natural production of testosterone. It was originally used to help impotence in older men, but now is mainly used to rejuvenate your natural testosterone production. This is important after a prohormone cycle because the use of a prohormone will usually suppress your natural testosterone.
